She then went on to get certified as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner from Nutrition Therapy Association (NTA). NTA has a bio-individual approach to holistic nutrition. As a FNTP she supports the bodies’ innate ability to heal by addressing the importance of nutrient dense foods, lifestyle choices, culinary wellness and client coaching.
Emily is also a certified in Nutrition Response Testing (NRT). Nutrition Response Testing is a non-invasive system of analyzing the body and organ function through different reflex points to determine the underlying causes of ill or poor health. When these are corrected through safe, natural, nutritional means, the body can repair itself in order to maintain more optimal health. With this technique, the root of the issue is addressed– not just the symptoms. This is a form of applied kinesiology or otherwise known as “muscle-testing.”
Emily has a passion to help clients feel better so they can live their best life. She understands what a huge impact ill health can have on everyday life and strives to help clients improve how they feel so they can do what they desire each and every day. Emily lives on several acres in Loveland with her husband, 3 children, dog, cat and 20 chickens! She loves to hike in the woods behind her house and would much rather be outside in nature than anywhere else. She enjoys cooking healthy foods for her family, gardening organic produce, going to Hot Pilates and sitting outside on a beautiful day with a good book.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Nutrition Response Testing, or muscle testing, allows your own body to communicate where imbalances are occurring and potential causes of these imbalances.
The Nutrition Response Testing procedure is performed lying down with your arm extended straight. If the tested reflex area on the body is under stress, the Autonomic Nervous System will respond by reducing energy to the extended arm, meaning the arm will weaken and drop. When performing Nutrition Response Testing, a scan of the body and all of the reflex points are checked for the 5 most common stressors that can cause symptoms of poor health. These stressors include heavy chemical toxicity, hidden food allergies or sensitivities, heavy metal toxicity, immune challenges and scar interferences. When these stressors accumulate in our body over time, they can impair the function of major endocrine glands, metabolic glands and organs that are crucial to our health.
Once the underlying issues are discovered, the next step in Nutrition Response Testing is to see what nutrients your body may be lacking due to this toxin overload. When your body receives the proper nutrients in the forms of whole food essential minerals, vitamins and antioxidants, many imbalances in your body come back into balance. When this happens, symptoms lessen and, in most cases, disappear.
Our Nutrition Response Testing program is offered in 6 or 12 session packages. After your Initial 1.5 hour appointment follow up sessions are 30 minutes long and weekly or bi-weekly sessions are usually recommended for the first 4-6 weeks.
